2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta is racing car like the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf in the segment of small family cars. Alfa Romeo has a strong heritage in motorsports and 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta playing this with the experience that focuses on being sporty rather than absolute comfort driving. The 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta also more striking appearance than most of its rivals.

The 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta has received a number of changes for 2014, including reduced prices, some subtle styling changes, an interior updated, revised levels of finish and new engines. The range starts with basic progression adjustment, which is followed by distinctive, upscale, and top of the range, Nav Sportiva.

The updated model to create a new version of the 2.0-liter diesel Alfa Romeo, which has low emissions to improve engine performance, and is also quieter inside through better soundproofing. A performance model in the form of Green Quadrifoglio is also available. All models now get a five-inch touch screen, while the Nav Sportiva get the high resolution version number of 6.5 inches. Buyers can now also choose leather trim on the car doors and dashboard.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Interior

Although the 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta can not yet match the interior quality of the Volkswagen Golf, has been enhanced to 2014 meant the Giulietta is now a more enjoyable to sit car. Speccing a leather interior for the car, in particular lift the cabin appearance and also recommend going to the touchscreen of 6.5 inches, which is an option on all but the top model specification. The interior of the old Alfa Romeo Giulietta was quiet and so does the revised model. Unfortunately, uncomfortable cabin is another drag feature.

Alfa 350 liters boot is a reasonable size, being larger than the Ford Focus (316 liters), but lower than the Volkswagen Golf (380 liters). Although Giulietta are all five-door car, the rear seat is narrow and legroom is also difficult. There are storage areas located throughout the cabin, but the cubicle center armrest and glove are both quite small. Even the driver does not escape through a narrow box pedals, which means that it is difficult to get your feet comfortable.

2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Engine

One side of the entry-level 1.6-liter diesel, which has a relatively lethargic number 11.3 seconds to go from 0-62 mph, there really is a slow version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The basic gasoline pulls the same feat in 9.4 seconds, while the most powerful petrol does it in 7.6 seconds. The 148bhp diesel obtained from 0-62 mph in 8.8 seconds and the 173bhp version does it in 7.9 seconds. Powerful diesel engine makes the Alfa Romeo Giulietta an excellent highway cruiser, but all manage to be good in city, rural roads down and out on the highway. All models get D.N.A. Alfa control switch that allows you to alter the configuration of the car to change the sensitivity of the accelerator pedal and steering weight.

Alfa recently introduced the Quadrifoglio Verde (QV) sports edition Giulietta, which has a 237bhp engine and gearbox six-speed 4C sports car company and is the fastest model available in the range. While the engine sounds great and means the car can do 0-62 mph in six seconds, it’s still not as entertaining – or more comfortable – to drive as the Golf GTI VW, Seat Leon Cupra or Ford Focus ST. Given the QV version is also quite expensive, it is not a model I recommend.

A 118bhp engine power 1.4-liter Alfa Romeo Giulietta basic returning 44.1mpg economy and emissions of 148 g/km which means the model will cost £145 to tax. The other option is the 168bhp petrol gasoline, giving more performance, but actually has a better economy of 49.6mpg and lower emissions mean that the road tax is £ 130 per annum. Topping the range is the Quadrifoglio Verde that develops 237bhp engine of 1.75 liters. Operating costs amounted to £200 a year in road tax by virtue of its CO2 emissions of 162 g / km, while going to struggle to return 40mpg.

Buyers can also choose between three diesel engines. The cheapest, 1.6 liters in size and can return 70.6mpg combined, low emissions mean road tax is only £20/year. The others are the two diesel engines of 2.0 liters, producing either 148bhp or 173bhp. The less powerful of the two is capable of 67.3mpg and road tax remains at £ 20. The 173bhp version returns 67mpg, but the tax is slightly above 30 pounds per year.

2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Safety

Alfa Romeo in the past has had a relatively poor reputation for reliability but if the results of our own satisfaction survey 2013 Driver of power are anything to go by, this seems to be changing. As a manufacturer Alfa Romeo finished mid-table, 17th of 32 manufacturers but as 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta did exceptionally well, finished seventh ahead of a lot of more expensive machines. The 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta crash tested by Euro NCAP and awarded the full five stars and get the full complement of airbags, belt warning buzzers security, and electronic stability control.
