 2014 Audi A6 Interior

The 2014 Audi A6 offers one of the most beautiful cabins in its class, with the attractive dash layout, excellent material quality and solid fit and finish. The MMI (Multi Media Interface) controls entertainment, communication and the navigation functions via the dash-mounted pop-up display and a rotary knob and buttons on the center console. System has logical menus, sharp graphics and a touchpad to increase functionality, although we still prefer BMW iDrive or Mercedes COMAND for general ease of use.

The 2014 Audi A6 also offers the possibility of in-car Wi-Fi using a 3G connection with the navigation system and adds Google Earth data while also simplified Google search for POIs. It sounds a bit exaggerated, but it is actually quite handy when you need to carry out some unexpected work on the road and there is no Starbucks in sight. Google Earth Navigation system is more a matter of form over function, however, and can actually make map more difficult to understand at a glance. All seats are supportive and comfortable on long trips, while the rear seat legroom in particular provides more real than most competitors. The 2014 Audi A6 14.1 cubic-foot trunk is on the small side when the rear seat folds and has a hatch, if more space is needed.

2014 Audi A6 Engine

The 2014 Audi A6 2.0T is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter, good for 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The front-wheel drive and continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard and all-wheel drive with an eight-speed automatic is optional. Audi claims a 0-60-mph time of 7.4 seconds CVT models and 6.6 seconds with the eight-speed automatic transmission, which if true is a bit slow compared to others in the segment. You will do well at the pump, though, like driving EPA-estimated fuel economy of 25 mpg city / 33 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined for the CVT and 20/29/23 mpg for the automatic eight-speed and wheel.

The 2014 Audi A6 3.0T gets a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that produces 310 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and start-stop technology are all standard. In performance testing, 3.0T sedan went from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds, provided a fast time to midsize luxury sedans with similarly powerful six-cylinder engines. The fuel consumption is estimated at 18/27/22, which is very good.

The 2014 Audi A6 TDI, a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 good for 240 hp and you will receive 428 lb-ft of torque. The 8-speed auto and all-wheel drive standard again. According to Audi, this engine gets the A6 from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. Fuel consumption with the TDI is a stellar 24/38/29.

 2014 Audi A6 Safety

The 2014 Audi A6 standard safety equipment on the 2014 Audi A6 includes antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags, stability control, the full-length side curtain airbags and front knee airbags. 2014 Audi A6 rear side airbags, front and rear rear parking sensors, lane departure warning / Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Warning System are included with the upper ledges either optional or.

The standard Audi Pre-Sense system can warn the driver close voltage to the safety belts and the window when a potential collision is detected, while optional Audi Pre-Sense Plus system can do anything, tighten plus the straps and automatically brakes full force to reduce the severity of an impending crash. The A6 Prestige trim also comes with Audi Pre-Sense behind that uses the brake lights to warn traffic behind the vehicle in the event of a rear collision, the hiring of additional preventive protection is required to turn the situation critical.
