The 2014 Lexus RX 350 without doubt the first luxury crossover on the market.  However, there is a reason why many of them are on the way, and that’s what I forgot before driving the 2013 model refreshed my memory. With the exception of a few complaints , the 2014 Lexus RX 350 is a pleasure to enter every morning , I take comfort in my hectic family routine and gives me support in every corner.

The all-wheel -drive 2014 Lexus RX 350 received an overall rating crash tests five out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not crash tested the 2013 RX . As required of all new vehicles from the 2012 model year , the RX 350 has standard antilock brakes , an electronic stability system and traction control . The RX has 10 airbags, including driver and front passenger dual-stage dual-chamber airbags , driver and front passenger knee airbags front and rear – seat-mounted airbags and side-impact and side curtain airbags front and rear.

For families install child safety seats , the lower LATCH anchors are buried in the seat bight and are difficult to access . However, older children in booster seats will appreciate the ease of using seat belt buckles in both outer rear seats . They are on stable bases , making it easy for little hands with limited dexterity to the seat belt alone. While the RX seems to have almost all the security features on the market today, the lack of a standard monitor blind spot was a nuisance in my test car . Given the super-large side mirrors , kept hoping they would have some additional functionality above and beyond being a mirror. A monitoring system is optional blind spot . Parking sensors front and rear , and a rearview camera are also options on the RX .

When the 2014 Lexus RX 350 first hit the market , was very progressive , with its sleek lines , rounded, low-profile design . Today, that is the general appearance almost every crossing in the market has emulated . Although Lexus should be proud of setting the tone (which is the highest form of flattery, right?) , The downside is that each year the RX slips a little further into the darkness of design, while the rest of the market continues to evolve . The step up to the 2014 Lexus RX 350 is just a little high for me to slip into the seat without effort. At 5 feet 3 inches , I have to get up a little in my tippytoes come easily, which is great news for the rest of the population mean height . In and out with the assistance of a power seat and steering wheel that adjusts automatically to create more space . Keyless entry and start and a power liftgate that works also make life easier.

The all-wheel -drive 2014 Lexus RX 350 received an overall rating crash tests five out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( four stars in frontal impact , five stars for side impact and four stars by the resistance of rollover ) . The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not crash tested the 2013 RX .
