2018 Buick Verano

2018 Buick Verano is a four-door, entry-level luxury compact by General Motors for its Buick brand in the Orion assembly plant in Orion City, Michigan and the joint venture in China GM with SAIC Motor, SAIC-GM (also called Shanghai GM). The 2018 Verano was debuted at the North American International Auto Show on January 10, 2011, during a preview of the upcoming Buick 2012 model. Buick Verano 2018 is the first compact Buick sold in the United States since 1998 Buick Skylark.

Buick Verano along with the Buick Excelle GT, which was developed for the Chinese market and produced in China and the Opel Vauxhall Astra Astra Europe / UK sedan, which was featured at Moscow International Moscow 2012, the Delta Platform II General Motors with the Chevrolet Cruze and corresponding MPV models Orlando Chevrolet and Opel / Vauxhall Zafira Tourer.

The 2018 Buick Verano is essentially a version of the American market Buick Excelle compact the Chinese market. The Buick Verano monocoque construction uses its galvanized steel hood front fenders, roof panels, and door and includes a thermoplastic bumper polyolefin (TPO). Buick Verano incorporates laminated acoustic glass, triple door seals, a five-layer headliner sound absorbing mating, insulation recycling denim and 18-inch forged alloy wheels especially to minimize noise the road. Buick Ventiports reappeared on the introduction of Verano, a unique feature for the Buick style dating back to 1949.

The second generation Verano was introduced on July 27, 2015, in the Chinese market. Buick Verano is longer but much lighter, more efficient fuel consumption and has more interior space than its predecessor. Buick Verano sold in sedan and hatchback body styles.

2018 Buick Verano Engine

The 2018 Verano powertrain is a standard 2.4-liter Ecotec direct injection DOHC I4 coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. The 2.4L has a rated output of 180 horsepower (130 kW) at 6700 rpm and 232 lb (232 Nm) of torque at 4900 rpm. The engine is flexible fuel capable, which means can use gasoline or ethanol E85, or any combination of the two fuels. The fuel economy EPA estimates are 21 miles per US gallon (11 l / 100 km) city and 32 miles per US gallon (7.4 l / 100 km) route for gasoline. Mixed reviews 2012 Road route site MPGOMATIC showed an average of 26.5 MPG in E85 and 29 for gasoline.

A turbo 2.0-liter version was made available at the end of 2012 for the 2013 model year, as a 6-speed manual transmission. The turbo 2.0 L is rated at 250 horsepower and Torque 260 lb-ft. GM estimated acceleration 0-60 mph is 6.2 seconds, which is equivalent to the number defined by the Buick Regal GS. Buick Verano 2018 was added a new Touring Edition sport that includes 18 “18-inch aluminum pocket wheels” and a rear spoiler.

2018 Buick Verano GS

A high-performance Buick Verano GS variant based on the following Opel Astra OPC debuted at the 2015 Guangzhou Auto Show on November 20, 2015, and went on sale in China later this year. Available as a hatchback, the Verano GS  2018 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine rated at 270 horsepower power coupled with a dual-clutch transmission 7-speed, exclusive models.
