The Acura SLX was a mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) from the Acura division of Honda from 1996 to 1999. It is sold a slightly upgraded Isuzu Trooper in the same time as the Lexus LX 450 is released and it was sold only in the United States. The Acura SLX was later replaced by the Honda Odyssey-based 2001 Acura MDX.
The SLX received a redesigned front end for the 1998 model year, but still harder to sell and was eventually after 1999. It is said that sales affected by bad press when the 1996-1997 models were rated by Consumer Reports “unacceptable “set for their tendency to roll over during the test. In an action brought by Isuzu against Consumers Union, the Court found that some of the statements magazine showed a “reckless disregard” for the truth.
The 1996-1997 Acura SLX had a 3.2-liter V6 petrol engine with a maximum power of 190 hp (142 kW) and was founded in 1998 by a 3.5-liter dual overhead cam V6 engine, 215 hp (160 kW ) produces replaced.
