Aston Martin DB9

The Aston Martin DB9 is shown a grand tourer first Aston Martin at the 2003 Frankfurt Auto Show. Known available as Coupe and Convertible Volante, the DB9 was the successor of the DB7. For model year 2013 revision Aston made minor changes to the body, including enlarging the recessed headlight cluster with bi-xenon lamps and LED daytime strip, an extension of the front splitter, updating the grille and side heat removal systems, updating the LED taillights with clear lenses and integration of a new rear apron with the trunk lid.

Aston Martin DB9 Engine

The Aston Martin DB9 was originally launched with a 6.0L V12 engine that equipped originally taken from the sister car, the V12 Vanquish. The engine delivers 569 Nm (420 lbf · ft) of torque at 5000 rpm and a maximum power of 456 hp (450 bhp) at 6,000 revolutions per minute. The DB9 is 0-97 km / h (60 mph) speed in 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 299 km / h (186 mph). The engine sits largely behind the front axle line to improve weight distribution. The Aston Martin DB9 can be equipped with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed Graziano-ZF automatic transmission with paddle-operated semi-automatic mode. The automatic transmission increases the 0-97 km / h (60 mph) time to 4.9 seconds, although the top speed remains the same. The gearbox mounted behind and powered by a carbon-fiber shaft end within a cast aluminum torque tube.

Aston Martin DB9 Chassis

The Aston Martin DB9 is the first Aston Martin designed model and Ford’s aluminum VH (Vertical / Horizontal) platform, which also underpins the Aston Martin DBS flagship be developed. These were up 20 (11) later changed to (508 mm) wheels with widths of 216 mm (8.5 in) in the front and 279 mm at the rear. The tires are Pirelli P-Zero with codes of 245 / 35ZR20 and 295 / 30ZR20.
