Unlike many competitors, the Audi A5 Cabriolet has a light, insulated fabric top rather than a heavier but more coupe-like, folding metal hardtop. The top can be raised or lowered at speeds of up to 31 mph, and a neck-level heating allows passengers to ride with the top down in less-than-ideal weather.

The Audi A5 Cabriolet Premium to-have, Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. The Premium trim comes standard with leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, a ten-speaker AM / FM / CD / SiriusXM sound system, heated headlamp washers, LED turn signals, fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity , a HomeLink garage door opener, Audi music interface and a driver information system. Three-zone climate control, xenon plus headlights and LED taillights are refurbished. The Audi A5 Cabriolet Premium Plus model adds heated front seats, memory function for the front seats, LED taillights, a power lift-gate, three zome climate control and power-folding exterior mirrors. The S-Line exterior package is new standard.
The top-spec Prestige trim brings a navigation system with the Audi Connect above, a 14-speaker, 505 watt Bang & Olufsen sound system with HD Radio technology, a rearview camera parking aid, Audi side assist, keyless start and a color driver information system. Highlights from the options list are sports seats, adaptive cruise control, steering-wheel shift paddles and Audi Drive Select, which offers a variety of different chassis, steering, transmission and engine calibrations. The Black Optic Appearance Package includes black exterior touches and 19-inch titanium-rotor design wheels.
