The 2014 Audi A4 is available only as a sedan, although the Audi Allroad is virtually the estate version. There is also a higher performance version of the sedan and Audi S4 respectively. Both are reviewed separately. 2014 Audi A4 Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige: trim levels are broken down into three levels. Standard features for premium includes 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights; front and rear fog lamps, automatic wipers, a sunroof, Cruise control, climate control, a tilt-telescopic steering wheel; eight-way power front seats with four-way lumbar supports, Leather upholstery, a dash-mounted Multi Media Interface or MMI, Bluetooth phone connection and a 10-speaker sound system with a CD player, an audio auxiliary jack, an iPod interface and satellite radio. Options include a navigation system, a cold weather package and S line-style package, the 18-inch wheels, adds, Xenon headlamps and sporty exterior trim.
The 2014 Audi A4 Premium Plus comes standard with the cold weather and S line packages and adds keyless ignition further / entry, auto-dimming mirrors, tri-zone automatic climate control and driver seat memory functions. The MMI Navigation Plus Package offers premium navigation system, further adds front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, Bluetooth audio connectivity and Audi connect. Also optional are a blind-spot monitoring system and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
The 2014 Audi A4 Prestige includes all the above as standard plus adaptive xenon headlights. Exclusive to the prestige the optional Driver Selection Package, Adaptive Cruise Control, adaptive control and adjustable vehicle settings such as Audi Drive Select is created known. A power rear sunshade is also available. Optional on both the Premium Plus and Prestige is the sports package that a sport-tuned suspension and sports seats, front adds. 2014 Audi A4 Interior
The 2014 Audi A4 has one of the best cabins in its class. The interior minimalist design lends an air of serious adult, while the highest quality materials, a message of a story of sophistication to send. The use of real leather as standard gives the Audi an advantage over its competitors from BMW and Mercedes to use premium vinyl. Even if the 2014 Audi A4 is as a small entry level luxury car, the interior is more like a midsize sedan. Rear outboard seats offer plenty of headroom and legroom to comfortably accommodate for a typical adult. The Audi A2 12.4-cubic-foot trunk is only average in size.
Infotainment functions are controlled by Audi MMI. This consists of a small button with the keys together to control menus and set on a single screen. Overall, it is an effective interface, although audio functions are buried in menus and, in practice, have BMW iDrive and Mercedes COMAND system a bit more intuitive found. Also A4s without MMI navigation controller located on the dashboard instead of the center console, which is not so comfortable to use.
2014 Audi A4 Engine
Each 2014 Audi A4 is supplied power from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 220 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard, while all-wheel drive is available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Audi estimates that each of these drive variants are the 2014 Audi A4 from zero to 60 in 6.2 to 6.6 seconds, which would bring an average time for this class with him. In government crash tests, the 2014 Audi A4 received a perfect five stars in each category, while Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the best result last year’s A4 of “Good” in the medium overlap frontal-offset, side and roof-strength tests. It has the worst “poor” condition in the IIHS frontal offset the new small overlap crash test, but few cars have been subjected to this test, and a majority was similarly low ratings.
