The 2016 Acura ILX 2.4L Premium Package is featured trim of 2016 Acura ILX. The Acura ILX is a compact executive car for Honda’s luxury brand Acura. All Acura ILX variants are settled on the 9th-generation Civic Sedan. The Acura ILX became the first compact model from the Acura RSX was discontinued after the 2006 model year, and the first compact sedan from the Integra was last produced in 2001. The Acura ILX was also the first hybrid gasoline-electric vehicle Acura.
The concept version was presented at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, the production version was presented at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The Acura ILX introduces a new design that Acura calls “fused aero-dynamic”. The bulk production began on April 23 at the Honda assembly facility in Greensburg, Indiana and US sales began on May 22.
